What You Do
As a technical writer, your responsibility would be to research, analyze, obtain, plan and deliver data and other information in a specific and orderly manner to make it understandable to the target market. You also need to prepare written documentation that delivers technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Requirements
A good grasp of the written language is an important requirement for a successful career and so is the ability to translate an idea or concept into a series of detailed information and procedures that are easy to understand. It’s also important to have excellent research skills. In terms of education, most writers have some educational background or work experience in the industry where they work. If a technical writer creates a manual on medical procedures, for example, he/she must have a background in the medical industry. Many writers also work in fields such as medicine, biology, law, aviation, education, religion, chemistry, physics, engineering and technology. Many are also hired by government agencies.

What are the requirements for getting a nursing job?

Before you can work as a nurse, you will need to obtain at least a diploma in nursing. It is best to have an associate’s degree or even better a bachelor’s degree in science in nursing. This is critical because job positions are often given to those who have a BSN (bachelor’s degree) over those with a lower level degree. Once you obtain your degree, you will need to get your license before you can work as a staff nurse.

Work for a foreign language field is wide open as long as the job seeker to determine specialization and interest. However, the preparation itself needs to be done, especially when seeking information about employment opportunities with foreign language skills.

Zenaida Gutierrez, a writer who joined the Migrant Student Information Network, WestEd, California, share career tips for foreign language learners.

1. Discover the reason interest in the job
Determine where to work will be easier than to defend it. Therefore, you need to recognize what makes you interested in the job, especially careers that require foreign language skills. The work of this type, for example, in the fields of teaching, translating, and research. Find out which field you are interested and want further through it. Believe in and prepare yourself with good foreign language skills and can understand other people.

2. Prepare a more optimal
Field work can vary, but most important is work that relies on a foreign language requires a high level of ability. Generally, companies want a high quality self. Not only the language skills, but also of interest in the field of employment.

So before the question, better ask yourself. What are your interests. Teaching? Then teach what, history for example? Detailed questions about the interest you need to prepare yourself. In this way, you are preparing the portfolio itself. Of course, this preliminary step will save time, money, and your energy. Because, once you find a job, you already know which company or what profession to be addressed.
